Our History
|
The
business of G.E. Hartley & Son was established in 1808 in the
village of Thorner, Leeds 14. Then under the name of A&B Harrison it
was listed as cabinet and chair makers, but soon started to carry
out funerals as people came to them for coffin making.
The old established and much respected business of A.E. Welburn was
purchased in 1994 following the death of the last member of that
family. They were based in Oakwood Leeds 8. In addition to the two members of the Hartley family working in the business today, three other funeral directors are employed. All of which have a wealth of experience within the industry and proudly uphold the high standard of service long associated with the business. |
